Psalm 147— Beauty Even Still
This Psalm’s invitation to “praise the Lord” does not deny the surrounding grief. It grows up and out from within it. It fills all the spaces surrounding the rubble as an act of resistance to despair and it extends beyond the ruins as a promise of and invitation to new beauty.
